Desolation Poem by Neha Kaushik

Desolation

Incarcerated within these derelict walls
portraying the mosaics of your malignity
desolated and scourged
screams muffled in deafening silence
trying to befriend forlornness
I turned into an inanimate object
no more than a piece of ornament
ignored and neglected
nihility consuming my being
eyes seeking freedom

A penalty for my selfless love..
