Despair... Poem by Betty Jo Hilger

Despair...

Boiling from the passageway where earth has met the sky
The heavens roll with anger held at bay
Intense emotion rising up to form the frothing spume
To form the head of terror come to life
Thunder, rolling ‘cross the blue, to banish all my hope
Storming squalls invading quiet days
Dispelling joy, dispersing peace, delivering alarm
The dragon of the night has conquered hope
And undulating athwart, to cover light from view
The ebony has come to capture breath
As halted, caught within my chest, I can no longer breathe
I faint and fall into a dream of death

their are many dragons, the only way to defeat the dragon is by getting face to face to it .
