Despair Won Poem by Alexa Stephens

Despair Won

Our foolish love reeling us in
Thinking of nothing, not even the sin
Not even thinking about letting despair win

Love that made even angels envy while looking down
A love like ours never again to be found
Like a clock tightly wound

Until morning break
His love turned fake

He didn't want 'the one'
Au contrare, he wanted fun

Not a day passes when I don't see the sun
Reminding me of the time depsair won
