Destiny Poem by anthony john

Destiny

Rating: 5.0

the sun in the sky, the moon at night
never to be together, forever apart
what cruel fate, befell these two?
that they should remain forsaken, never in one another's view?

one chose the night, one chose the day
never will they get, the other to stay
never in solitude, but never truly known
by anyone else, but the one who has gone

perhaps it is too painful, to remain in each other's sight?
so they divide the days, like left and right?
try to forget, about what could have been
but thoughts wander, to a place within

What an interesting poem. Love the sun and moon analogy! Nicely written! ! !
