Devastated Poem by jan fuentez

This is my reaction to the recent war between Gaza and Israel.

I was devastated of what I saw
Children, women, elderly people were crying and dying
Innocent lives caught in the crossfire
How it will end, when it will stop
I believe everybody's right to live
To have a descent living peacefully
But with this war, it's hard to understand
It's reason, it's uncomprehensilbe
I never saw images like these
So vivid, and the message is clear
Senseless fighting must come to end
And it has to end today
Not soon but now
