Developmental Quest Poem by Ngwa Louis

Developmental Quest

Enjoying L.Dubes Don't cry boom
External costs of adverts
In class to fools be vice versa
As heads nod positively to tune
Lectures bound to fall on benches
The canopied entropy of academics
Pray one day we be developed

Buttocks tucked on
Improperly nailed desks
Ceiling-less porous roofs
Suffocating under inhalation of dust particles
Hoping for knowledge on health
Soon admitted to general wards
Intuitive decrees of college creations under trees
Pray one day we be developed

With an influx of timidity
Barely struggling for a balance of sensitivity
Traumatized with spiraling anxiety
Still, the world leaves a lot of difficulty
The war of defining a personality
Pray one day there be change

At times wonder the worries be unduly
As crossing bridges before viewing really
Life's call always to be ready
Yet the crave for an earthly bounty
Hopeless it gears violently
Ending invidiously
I pray one day there be change

Days gradually becoming nights
Man sinking in his industrial waste
Our spontaneous global hyperpyrexia
Undoubtedly skyrocketing
Expiate to technological shortsightedness
Now world left in a huffy sensation

An extrinsic race on planet earth
Fantasizing for ownership
Gradually jerking to Jericho
A mileage non can imagine
Global hyperpyrexia the life draining flea
Witnessing life's buoyancy sinking

What could be life to a newborn?
Like Christ's death to Christians
Like love to a virgin
Like freedom to prisoners
Like riches to the poor
Like "sorry|" to a painful heart

Is it like shelter to the homeless?
Like wisdom to the wise
Like food to the hungry
Like education to prodigies
Like a delicacy to the tongue
Like war to the soldier!

Let it live, wear the shoe of life too
Then will it testify if it pinches or not!

Are rights right?
Is truth true?
When phobia is taken for courage
Courage instead for crime
Why African life a nightmare
Lives lived for others
Even dogs do deprecate!

Slaying, the vocalist's salary!
Yet even the blood will speak
Knowledge void phobia is wisdom
Live it, tell it, correct it, direct it & make it
Even in death, thou art a kingdom
I pray one day we reach it.
My developmental quest for all.
