Devi Poem by Gazi Mohammad Arif

Devi

Devi

Devi, where may I place your feet?
I have no better-off place
Except my spirit!
Consign your step, O Devi
Too I'll be Gyandaas,
I'll swell my heart to have your touch!

Your virginity will never be loot,
Your coyness will be cozy
In Behula's chastity.
Be true,
Become a beloved, O Devi
Too I'll be an obedient devotee,
Own my entity; it's only your property.
