Devotion
There is a fire raging
My love is the firewood
My heart is gauging
Be awake so not to brood.
From ashes arises devotion.
Penury better than a pleading
Oppose all comfort promotion
Thus attain a spiritual tagging.
Devotion is to Allah only,
Concentrate when lonely:
To engage in the attaining,
To surmount causes paining.
