Diamonds Poem by Leslie Edwards

Diamonds

Carbon the mineral that is pulled from the mines,

Lacking the brilliance until with facets it shines,

A slave is not unlike the carbon we seek,

How many facets can be brought in her peak?

Will she shatter when cut or shine like a star?

End with perfection or end as a mar?

Who knows what He sees when He looks in her eyes,

What polish will be wrought each time that she cries?

Does she move with perfection, does she move with grace?

Does it please Him to gaze upon her face?

the submissive's collar like a gold band,

or the platinum one His slave's leash in His hand?

which will she choose, she can only choose one,

and once she has chosen it cannot be undone,
