Did You Tell Me You'Re The Only One? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Did You Tell Me You'Re The Only One?

Did You Tell Me You're the Only One?

Did you tell me you're the only one?
Those are the only words I shun.
You leave out people exiting your soul.
You leave out people out of your circle.

You're the only one.

Well then, can you make me happy?
Can you make me sad?
Can you glamorize me,
And give me a Hollywood ride.

Can you change the world,
So it would spin on another axis?
Can you change the world,
So it would turn the other way around?

Did you tell me you're the only one?
Can you tell me you're the only one?
If you were, you wouldn't have to say it.
If you were, you wouldn't have to shout it.
