did you want
to say
something
to me?
but the words
were shut out by the windows
and the walls bounced
the syllables into the chimney
and up and out
to paint the clouds black…
did you want to say all
what was in your mind?
and the music came in just then
and drowned sweet words
and the weight of the books
fell on the living…
did you want
to sing something
to me?
but the cacophony of living
and the agony
of activity
sitting in the wings
drowned the performance…
and the falling leaves
in the Gardens of the North
covered all those standing alive…
did you want to whisper a word
but the ears you drew near to
were like the vengeance of birds?
so your words
were never
heard
and will never be re-created
even by
machines
yet-to-be races will create
in times far hence
in the future
to bring back all words
of the human past
In my mother's time, every morning to night she will be indulged in work and work and work and work and with we all children and dishes and clothes and room to be washed and cleaned and take care of, my parents seldom had time to talk even about the beautiful things the world of theirs have for them.................Many wives and husbands still find only time for daily chores and money earnings seldom having time to share each other's ideas, comments, ..................Nice theme.
unspoken words speak more than what we say... lovely piece.
