Didn't See You Coming
i didn't see you coming
how could i have known
the softest of kiss
and now i can't let go
we were just friends
no more, no less
for this we considered
ourselves equally blessed
but so close and not knowing
a curiousity that niether
could cease
and so with a deep breath
we happily shared our first kiss
i didn't see you coming
how could i have known
the softest of kiss
and now i can't let go
niether of us expected
the rush that came next
at first we simply kept it
to ourselves
if only to save face
but not much later came
another kiss
one that we couldn't deny
left us in the sweetest bliss
i didn't see you coming
how could i have known
the softest of kiss
and now i can't let go
but time and space was
something we couldn't control
nor was it an option
to simply say no, so with one
last kiss we parted, now alone
but with the fresh imprint
now left in our souls
i didn't see you coming
how could i have known
the softest of kiss
and now i can't let go
time has passed and
nothing has changed if
anything i want you more
than i did yesterday
