Diotima
'Diotima', I asked, 'what is truth? '
'Truth', she said, is the operation of logic welcomed by Sentiment so long as it upholds certain foregone conclusions.'
'Well, then, ' I continued, scratching my head', 'what is Sentiment? '
'Sentiment', she said, 'is the conviction of the majority that its conclusions have something to do with the truth.'
'Oh. Thanks.'
