A boat is made in a shipyard,
But that's not where its fate remains.
The crashing waves it will overcome,
The terrential storms it will float through;
And the placid, calm waters of the other side
That lead to beautiful tropics.
That's what gives a ship its character.
A ship which cannot be dismembered.
A vessel which cannot be topped,
For the voyage cannot be stopped.

Life is also like that. Until a young boy, under parents care he is and thereafter in the sea of life, he has to face rough weather, torrential rains, hot sun and open sky. A good poem.
