Discovery Poem by Amber Green

Discovery

With dyed black hair,
She hid her heart,
Because her pain was too much to bare
It seemed as if she'd lost her other part.

For over a year she stayed alone
Swearing she'd never give her love again
Because it wasn't worth all she'd shown
When she let her ex in.

She fell for you hard and fast
Love didnt terrify her anymore
She was able to let go of her past
And finally re-open her hearts door.

She discovered that love is real
And began to realize that the others were a lie.
She was finally able to trust what she'd feel
But, trust me love, I'll never be the reason you'd cry.
