Disheveled Poem by Demetrius JonesDixon

Disheveled

My temper swells
As my psychic barriers fail
My soul rolls out of control and it wails
I'm try to grasp this emptiness
Or this near-bottomless emotion
I don't know where it stems from
I just know it's causing me to become jaded
Callus and overly aggressive
It's hard not to be rude and cutting
I do my best to avoid mind games
Not to completely tear down the walls of their realities
I'm at the point I'm fatigued
With the idea of anything
My attention seems to focused elsewhere
My energy's being consumed by locust
I'm trying my best, but that seems inadequate
