Distance
Distance is not always
a bad thing.
It can be good.
You can't hurt me
anymore.
Because of the distance.
Distance in location.
Distance in mindset.
I'm here.
Safe, warm, loved.
Away from there.
Sad, scared, alone.
The memories
are distant.
Like bad dreams.
I will never
be seen in
those parts again.
I can move on.
I can be strong.
And realize
where I belong.
