Distance Poem by Lowly Dreamer

Distance

Rating: 5.0

The little gestures make me smile
And the sweetness makes me blush.
The hugs seem to last a lifetime,
Yet they are never long enough.

Silly little sayings make me giggle
And tickles make me squeak
While the deep conversations
Constantly make me think.

Anything can be said,
There’s no fear of judgment with you.
You don’t laugh at my dreams or fears
Because you have your own too.

Talking through the daylight hours,
And whispers shared under the stars,
Hearts can be so close,
Yet homes are much too far.
