Distinct Identity Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Distinct Identity

What works for one
does not necessarily work for another
When looking for a style to represent...
the choices contradict one another

What do you say… the difference can't be so
there are solutions to apply with compromise
It is indisputable so do not flinch or disagree
There is a fact upon which we can capitalized

It is a fact… that we are not all the same
Our ways to express can be less than offensive
In our creative adventure of trial and error
Our identities are reflected in print or cursive

Some of us are bold and intense
while others of us frown and resist
Less brazen… gliding with delicate a script
finding ways to let our legibility exist
