Divine Grace Poem by Dr John Celes

Divine Grace

Enabling us in special ways,
God gives His grace as gift,
To whomever He truly loves,
Enabling us do things great,
Ignoring trespasses many,
Although we don't deserve.

Grace helps us glorify the Lord;
Human toil proves futile;
If not for divine grace of God,
We can't do greater feats,
Or work wonders incredible,
As man on own does naught.

Man cannot boast of anything;
God measures grace to souls;
Mere faith can't draw us to the Lord;
His grace must bless our toil;
Fools boast of their accomplishments;
The humble praise God's grace.

One's labor cannot bear one fruits,
If divine grace isn't found;
God works miracles through sinners,
Making them saints by grace.
Divine grace is prime element,
For man to live life, wise.
