Diving For Donuts Poem by Ima Ryma

Diving For Donuts

A box of donuts I did get
While I was at the bakery.
Not eating them was no sure bet,
The box got opened and by me,
As I walked through the parking lot.
All of a sudden from the skies,
A visit from some crows I got.
They swooped close to the box as I
Dashed to my car and made it in.
The crows landed on the car hood.
I started up the car and then
The crows cawed and flew off for good.

The box of donuts was a lure,
Was a tempted murder for sure.
