Pilipili, lion cub who
Is watching Dad up on a rock
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
So Pilipili takes a walk,
And up onto that rock does go,
Doing his best to imitate
The royal pose that Dad does show,
Putting Dad in a prideful state.
The king and prince upon rock throne,
Observing all within royal gaze.
Throughout the Zoo let it be known
Dad will teach son the reigning ways.
Below the public 'oohs' and 'aahs.'
Above on rock's edge, four paws pause.
