Looking at me now
you might not ever
think I was young
new and rather grand
Now all these years later
I appear to be misused
aged and misunderstood however
when I was young and newer
I was something to behold
you see it is me and not the body
we have aged and been left forgotten
I still have life in me
my heart runs good and my
legs are strong and willing
to do whatever is demanded
it is just that my get up
and go has got up and went
time was when I could
dance the night away
now I can't sleep
hard to pee and forget that other thing
my foundation is still sturdy, but
the years have caused wrinkles
sags and bulges in the wrong places
some days it just don't pay
to even get outta bed
I tell ya, it ain't easy being me
What's a bear to do?
Sigh...
