Do not leave me alone, a helpless woman.
My strength, my crown,
I am empty of virtues,
You, the ocean of them.
My heart's music, you help me
In my world-crossing.
You protected the king of the elephants.
You dissolve the fear of the terrified.
Where can I go? Save my honour
For I have dedicated myself to you
And now there is no one else for me.
Oh boy, this is rather lame, though I'm tempted to go an check other poems by this poetess, with the hunch that there's others that are much better in spite of this selection. I suppose that's the idea of featuring her work here, though if someone can recommend any in particular, that will save me some valuable time.
If you have come here with the intent to read poems with flowery language written by godless people, then you have come to the wrong place. You might never understand the deep meaning and wisdom behind her words and that is what is truly lame and sad.
You don't even know WHAT IS OUR MEERA BAI IS SINGING and for WHOM (FOR OUR BELOVED KRISHNA) SUPREME PERSONALITY OT GODHEAD
The depth of devotion and love of Meerabai towards Lord Krishna
A heartfeltl, devotional piece written with spiritual insight....
My heart's music, you help me In my world-crossing. You protected the king of the elephants. You dissolve the fear of the terrified. love of God portrayed so well. tony

Her poetry is garbage.
Her sentiments towards God is real. If you don't like it, fine. But it really shows your lack of knowledge. You're just another typical fool that can never appreciate the wisdom of a saint.
