I saw your face & realized what was missing.
How much you picked me up when I was down.
I realized only when the thought arrived that
You were gone and might not ever come back
How much of a difference you made in my life.
So many things I didn't get to open up to you
about.
I know there are things you can't do by yourself
& your curiosity only grows.
Pulling you further and further away.
If there is anything I can do please tell me.
If I made you run off due to lack of attention,
I didn't see it & will do anything to make it up.
I saw your face & immediately knew you were
the one to come in and change my life around.
I miss having you around, how you pressed
Your nose against me.
If I ever see you again, I promise I'll never
Leave your side.
I realized only when you were gone
How precious time is & how quick things
can run away, revealing that not all things
come back.
I didn't see it, I never would have thought.
I'll do anything to see your face.
If you show up and I am gone
There isn't another that can take your place.
If you show up and I am gone
I am out looking for you
