Dog In The City Streets Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Dog In The City Streets

Lank
And hungry
The dog moves
Head bent and
Resigned
From street to street
In the City.

Some
Thrown away
Food
Covered in dust
He
Spots
And eagerly devours.

For
His eyes look up
Resigned and sad
And beautiful
For
Beauty in his
Soul
Resides
For
Lank
And hungry
The dog moves
Head bent and
Resigned
From street to street
In the City.
