Dolls Never Cry Poem by Lynette Lawrence

Dolls Never Cry

A silent moment
is so much more than
dolls starring at you with their lifeless eyes.
It's an absence
of faked happiness-
Your disguise.

How the loss of small things makes you
cave.
Drowning in Anger and self-hate.

In this very moment
take a breath.
Just before screams reach your ears,
'cause there ain't no love, it's cold in here.
