Dominating Demons {ambivalence} Poem by thomas mofford

Dominating Demons {ambivalence}

Sexton Poe Berryman Plath
Demon Daemons leave me pass
Dark dalliance endangers me.

Wicked sprites for the misbegotten
Foreshorten your wet cloth of delusion.

Why do you entice
Others to follow your place?
Hostile
Hopeless
Harangues!

Heaving against the grain of salvation
The truth is devastation
Short-lived as a snow crystal
On a hot tongue.

Dark realms continue to exist
After the transience of bliss.

I'll have to come back to this one later. The language of it is terrific.
