Don'T Do That Poem by Melissa P Cutler

Don'T Do That

Don't do that
stare at me with those brooding eyes and make me fall in love with you again
I gave you everything, you were my fire
so don't do that
act innocent.
Act as if you did nothing to me when in reality you broke me
and I don't know if I want to be fixed.
I was an open book to you, your name like poison on every page of my story.
And I to you?
I was just a page, loosely holding on to the binding of the book.
So don't do that.
