Don't ever fall in Love my friend
You see it doesn't pay
Although it causes Broken Hearts
it happens everyday.
You wonder where she/he is at night
You wonder if they're true
One moment you're happy
and the next you're blue
So when I say don't fall in Love
You'll be hurt before you're through...
You see my friend I oughta know...
I Fell in Love with you! ! !
This poem was given to me by my then girlfriend in New Jersey in 1964/65
My mothers had this palm framed since the 70s. This is definitely not his home in about four other people put it up to and claim it to be The writer
I recognize this poem....I learned it as a folk song in 1964 and used to sing it in coffeehouses back in the day. When did you say you wrote it?
i remember this from back in the early 60s. I dont think it was new then either.
