If the road you followed,

Led you to this

Would you have still taken it

If you could change your path

Would you walk away

Would you turn away

Even if your feet bled

From stepping on broken glass

And shattered dreams

Would you still go through that

To eventually heal on soft grass

To be free and hopeful again

Full of life and love

And meet me at the other end

Or, would you go away

Risk it and take a different direction

One with less promise

And maybe less pain

I hope you make the right choice
