Don'T Hurt Me Poem by Chloe Robertson

Don'T Hurt Me

Rating: 2.7

In the mist of the flames will you wait for me?
Right now my heart is held in my hands, open your eyes and see,
Trudging on for hours just so I can find you,
Holding you in my arms is the only thing I want to do,
Will you accept me for who I am including my flaws?
Or will you just leave me with my heart wretched with awe?
I am on the edge; please don’t let me slip,
It’ll be a great fall and there’s nothing I can grip,
This emotion so great it scares me so much inside,
To know you don’t share it will be almost like I died,
Though I would prefer death over the wrath of your rejection,
I know my heart would break in more than just a section,
It is a pain I do not wish to bear,
So please at least pretend to act like you care,
It’s all I ask please don’t let me fall,
Please, it will be the only thing I ask, the only thing at all...
