Don't Read From Up Poem by Melanie Emikohe

Don't Read From Up

Rating: 4.5

my chemicals' pathway spiral
gush in a rotation
of a wrecking outburst
the speed of crazy
knocking down century-old
principles
I carry cyclic hurricanes
tattooed in my circuit
maneuvered by the extremes
of my temperatures

in a doughnut hole
dwell within my funnel
a cozy encasement
of rupturing warmth
it is also my layer
don't write me for my winds
I chose to tuck you in
a nest of breeze
no one else can freely roam
I will not harm you

this isn't a downpour
of sweet rubbing talk
but a plea to you
