Don't Send Me Roses
don't send me roses
don't send me perfumes
look into my eyes
and whisper three words -
I love you
and give me a kiss
when you go to work
when you come home
and whisper three words -
I miss you
don't use high falutin phrases
of love I do not understand
I am a simple woman
I believe in true love
caress me and tell me
my darling you are
that's enough
I will know you love me.
