Don't Sue The Rich Poem by Richard Jarboe

Don't Sue The Rich

When you come from a surplus of requirements,
Don't fight the strong and don't sue the rich,
Tell no one your beliefs of too many chiefs,
And subdue all the briefs of arrogance.

It's a dazzling supposition,
When you know you're no longer required,
And a shaky disposition,
When they tell you, "You're fired."

Don't forget the dying words,
Of the wasted guy you found in a ditch,
Whose last breath muttered to you, don't fight the strong,
And by all means, don't sue the rich.
