Don'T Sweat It Poem by Liz Annson

Don'T Sweat It

I saw your face in the mirror
Hitting the light as I peered in the dark
Catching your black-speckled tears
Facing away
Chasing away

You followed me to my door
Hoping I'd change my mind and realize
That you just wanted me more
But you were wrong
Tagging along

Don't sweat it
This here's a tough nut to crack
Don't let it
Get you down, on the ground
There's nothing you can say
That'll change the day
Just don't sweat it
Don't sweat it

I let you leave them behind
Not noticing the pain flash across
Your face, so innocent
I let you hurt
Wouldn't avert

Don't sweat it
This here's a tough nut to crack
Don't let it
Get you down, on the ground
There's nothing you can say
That'll change the day
Just don't sweat it
Don't sweat it

Finally, I saw what's wrong
And sat down to finish this song
But you knew, were already gone

Don't sweat it
This here's a tough nut to crack
Don't let it
Get you down, on the ground

Don't sweat it
This here's a tough nut to crack
Don't let it
Get you down, on the ground
There's nothing you can say
That'll change the day
Just don't sweat it
Don't sweat it

Don't laugh too hard... this was my first attempt at writing lyrics.
