Dont Play Poem by Ankit Mathur

Dont Play

I looked for her with all my might.
I looked for her each day and night

I thought I saw her going away
Since then my life began to sway

At a stage I thought she would come back short
The only reply I got was a retort

It felt so suffocating, so hard to bear
I would die, was my friend’s fear

They told me she would never come again
To her it was all just a game

They told me I would die this way
I would fall down like a hut of hay

Yet I am alive, waiting for her
I am alive, caring for her

My heart says she will come back to me
For I have seen bad, there’s still good to see.

I am waiting and will wait for ever
cause I have never, never said never

Bury me deep into the ground
If I die without her, around

Let my life end, and let the death play
Don’t tell her where I lay

It will all be over one day
But she remains happy, I would always say…

My heart has ceased, but my love is alive
Into the deep love, may the whole world dive

I am going, but will still be near
I will be with you, you have no fear.

As I go, one thing to say
You played with me,
But please please, don’t ever again
With any heart…….YOU PLAY
