Doomed From The Start Poem by daniel wentz

Doomed From The Start

constructed in ruin
young thoughtless minds
an innocent child was born
yet misery loved company
paying the ultimate price
for someone else's sacrifice
witness to sin
confused and abused over and over again
sent away left astray
parents' deceiving eyes telling lies
all them years went by
with a missing heart inside
I told you I wouldn't cry
when that day comes to say goodbye
no calls, no love
knowing why it all came to push and shove
a rescue diver who was a life depriver
watching his only son
drowning in his own blood
reconstructed heart
built to never fall apart
father and son
doomed from the start
