Draft Pick Poem by Brian Moore

Draft Pick

I might not have gone in the first round of the draft
But i guarantee you that I will be the steal of the draft
Being picked last fuels my fire and inspires motivation
I promise I will not be a bust like the ones picked before me
Granted, I may lack experience, but provide me the playing time
And I will perform as a #1 pick overall
I may not have one excellent attribute, but I’m solid in every category
Throughout the seasons together, our game plans may change but
I will never request a trade or become a role player for your team
I will be your franchise player and proudly represent my team
At the end of the day, I want to retire on the team that drafted me and Hopefully be in your hall of fame when
It’s all said and done.
