Dream Of Smiles Poem by Rik Bertrand

Dream Of Smiles

I imagine, I conjure, and I live in a dream.
My heart dwells in a world with no seam.
Time has brought me here to learn to smile,
And I think I want to stay for a while.

I walk with angels and fly with dragons,
I talk to fairies and ride in ancient wagons.
I lie in fields of willowy flowers in bloom,
And smile ear to ear, for there is not gloom.

I dream of a world of whatever I desire,
Chocolate streets and clouds set afire.
There are candles of gold that line my streets,
and if I find a nice view, the scene repeats.

It is always twilight with the stars very bright
Butterflies caressing the starry night.
Simple yet beautiful my dream is aglow,
This is the life that we should all know.

Come with me into my dream of smiles,
Remove yourself from life's sad trials.
Close your eyes and imagine the wonder,
And give yourself to heavens thunders.

REB (October 2012) where are you today, are you in my dream?
