Dreamcatcher Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher, give me a dream
Of lavender fields as far as the eyes can see
Cheery Marigolds with Sunflowers by the stream
And meandering brooks murmuring their glee

Dreamcatcher bring her a dream
Of our fun on the swing
And dreams of crossing the rainbow bridge
Right after the rain

Dreamcatcher send her a song
When she is lonely and sad
Lift her up, turn her on
To joy and be always glad

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The dreamcatcher has its origins in the Native Americans of the Ojibwe people. It was made by tying sinew strands in a web around a round hoop of willow, which is then hung above the bed. Bad dreams are supposed to be trapped by the web but good dreams pass through.

I find the name of dreamcatcher to be exquisite and romantic; this poem is inspired by the name itself.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

With slight change I would have said- -Lift me as a wave a cloud a leaf..I fall upon the rosy life I need.I wish to be her dream...need thy love love poem indeed
