Dreamer, Dream On Poem by Sandra Feldman

Dreamer, Dream On

Rating: 5.0

I suppose,
Some feel, or maybe many,
That Poetry is an absolute waste of time,
Not worth a coffee dime,
But how wrong they are,
Poetry is a soul cleanser,
A purification blender,
An art defender,
A maker of Stars,
That tells you who and what you are,
Not a human pretender,
But a deep Dreamer,
That keeps dreams close,
At hand, never very far.

I try to persuade everyone I know to try their hand at writing because of all the positives you mention.

Sandra, I have often thought your poetry knew no boundaries, no topic was out of your range. You prove me right again. When many take this topic on, they sound like a teacher lecturing or posing or prosing.... not you. You are capable of handling ideas POETICALLY. There's beauty in these lines, there's creative use of words in these lines, there's art in the lines, Thank you for taking on mountains and making them scenically available to us!
