I set a dream while I'm awake,
My eyes clench tight for my own sake.
The visions come which I intake,
Leisurely escaping a familiar heartache.
For in these dreams the grass grows tall,
I lie their taking in it all.
The sun absorbed upon my cheek,
Relaxed I dare take a peek.
As I do the vision remains,
but one thing not sustained.
The grass now short; allowing me to see,
Your lying there right next to me.
Anything worth any distaste,
now long forgotten and long erased.
I blink once than twice again,
to many emotions to comprehend.
One factor of certainty no matter what I do,
my dream come true, is having you.
