An eagle at Lincoln Park Zoo
Is home because of injury,
Soaring, I can no longer do,
But still dream of what it could be.
I dreamed I was in far Dubai,
To set a record, humans planned,
From a building half a mile high,
Down to the ground to human hand.
I dreamed I did this feat on air,
For endangered species on Earth,
Making the public more aware,
That sharing time and space has worth.
Faraway flight - dreams of my heart.
Home at the Zoo, I do my part.
