Drifting Away... Poem by Fathimath Farha

Like a lone leaf swaying in the breeze,
Like a deer creeping in the jungle.
Like a flower living be ceased,
Like my hopes, left to dangle.

I looked at you with tear filled eyes,
I searched in you for the love I knew.
Has it been killed with hurtful lies?
Or replaced with desires a-new?

I am not sure, I have ceased understanding.
It is no longer important, it no longer is.
The bond is gone, lost are our feelings.
Be gone now, leave me please.
