Drink Away Your Lonliness Poem by Stephanie Breana

Drink Away Your Lonliness

Sit and sulk in your sorrow
Nothing left to give, nothing left to borrow

There's so much waiting for you
But you can't even see

Blinded by the emptiness
Drink away your lonliness

Why do you put yourself
through this pain

The drinks won't make it go away

When it all wears off and
it creeps back up again

Stuff it all back into that black box again

Block everyone out
Push them all away

It's what you're best at

And while you're lying in your bed
and your cold and it's dark

You play it over and over in
your head

What could you have done wrong

She left without a word
You thought what you had was strong

Now it's all gone

And you could be making new
memories

But you're stuck in the past

And when you finally realize
even if she had of came back it
never would have lasted

And maybe she never wanted you
because all she did was
try to change you, make you give up
your things, and get in the way of your dreams

And everything you wanted you could've had

I was right infront of your face and you
didn't even see me

And now you'll never know what I had to give

And now

I'm gone just like she is
