Drivel Poem by Charles Malcolm

Drivel

Why read mysteries.
Women have spines too.
Lengthy forewords.
Brief,
putridly numerous
chapters.
Flimsy characters.
Over-the-top,
unnatural
dialects.
Twists and turns
in all the wrong places.
Holes.
Unsatisfying
endings
and
endless sequels
despite one-star reviews.

Maybe I'll just read Women
again.
