Rich & Rare Poem by Charles Malcolm

Rich & Rare

I spend the little money
that I have
on women
that i don't

Hours and energy
as well

The little I have
goes into these wasted words

Whiskey and wine
Dusty chalices
My rotten gut
My self-esteem
stained toilet

Two bus rides
$5.00
at peak
One bottle
$14.38
after tax

but who's counting
