Drown Me If You Please Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Drown Me If You Please

Perfectly obscured
Are the consummated
Verses upon my skin
The naughty balladry
I’ve etched on yours
Have torn mirrors

Reflection in your eyes
Show me an obsession
This isn’t my lesson
Or your favorite mistake
We’ve swiftly embarked
On a journey into each other

There’s no getting out
I’m anchored into you
My ever breath rests
Upon your heaving own
Navigate me in your seas;
Drown me if you please
