Drunks Poem by Rachel Hughes

Drunks

We don't realize when were drunk.

We can be so cruel.

Until we wake up the next morning feeling like a fool.

Wishing we could take back the things we said.

That leave us feeling emotionally dead.

After a night of ruining our name.

We spend the day in shame.

So, we say will never drink again.

But them words are all in vain.

Because the next time we feel pain.

Will pick up that drink.

So, we don't have to feel or think.

And we do this over and over again.

Knowing it's a place a hundred times we been.
